USPS Postmark Change

Please note that as of December 24, 2025, the old way of marking postmarks changed.  Before December 24, 2025, if you dropped a letter off at the postoffice on December 31, 2025, it would be postmarked at the post office the day you dropped it off. 

The New Way:

The letter is postmarked on the day it reaches the distribution center which might be one or two days after you drop it off. 

Critical for Deadlines: (Taxes, Ballots, etc):

If you need same day postmarks, go to the USPS Counter and request a manual postmark!
